Vendor Texts & Translations

Each vendor in your property has a name and purpose description that is shown to users in the Preference Center. These texts are available in all languages you've configured for your property.

Editing vendor texts

  1. Go to Property → Vendors and open a vendor
  2. Click Texts & Translations
  3. Edit the name and purpose for each language
  4. Save

Library translations vs. custom translations

For vendors from the library, ConsentForge provides default translations in EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, NL, PL, and PT. You can override these for your property (see Overrides).

For custom vendors, you must provide all translations yourself.

Missing translations

If a translation is missing for a visitor's language, ConsentForge falls back to your property's default language (usually EN).

To find vendors with missing translations:

Property → Vendors → Filter: Missing translations

Bulk translation export/import

For properties with many vendors, use the bulk export/import workflow:

  1. Property → Vendors → Export Translations — downloads a CSV with all vendor texts
  2. Edit the CSV with your translations
  3. Property → Vendors → Import Translations — upload the edited CSV

CSV format:

vendor_id,locale,name,purpose
vendor_abc123,de,"Google Analytics 4","Misst Seitenaufrufe und Nutzersitzungen zur Website-Analyse."
vendor_abc123,fr,"Google Analytics 4","Mesure les pages vues et les sessions pour l'analyse du site."
