Running Scans
Manual scan
- Go to Dashboard → Property → Scanner
- Click Scan Now
- Optionally enter a specific page URL (defaults to your property's root URL)
- Click Start Scan
Scans typically take 30–90 seconds depending on page complexity.
What gets scanned
By default, the scanner visits your homepage. For more complete coverage:
- Single URL — scan a specific page (e.g. your checkout or blog)
- Crawl mode — follow internal links up to a configured depth (up to 10 pages per scan)
To enable crawl mode: Scanner → Settings → Crawl depth → 3 (recommended starting point).
Scan status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting for a scanner worker |
| Running | Headless browser active |
| Completed | Results ready |
| Failed | Scanner could not reach the URL |
If a scan fails, check that your site is publicly accessible. Scans cannot run on password-protected or localhost URLs.
Viewing results
After a scan completes, go to Scanner → [Scan name] → Results to see:
- All detected scripts, cookies, and iFrames
- Vendor match status for each finding
- Network requests captured
Re-scanning
Run a new scan any time — especially after:
- Adding new third-party integrations
- Deploying a new page template
- Running a marketing campaign that adds new pixels
Each scan creates a new snapshot. Historical scans are stored for 12 months.
